Becoming an Instructor with PARASOL

Thank you for your interest in PARASOL. Completion and submission of this application is the first step in getting started as an approved trainer.

INFORMATION REGARDING PARASOL

PARASOL was formed in 1996 to provide a service to trainers in the first aid market place. The company was started to provide existing trainers, such as ambulance officers, emergency nurses and other qualified personnel, with an easy economical way of arranging and teaching first aid courses. Since its inception PARASOL has grown to one of the largest suppliers of this type of service and now able to offer an extensive range of courses in first aid, occupational health and safety, business and training and assessment.

Complementing our range of courses, we also offer a range of first aid supplies.

We provide a level of service that will make the administration of courses seem very easy. We are here to support trainers in their business endeavours and are a resource centre that is focused on looking after you.

BECOMING A TRAINER

Below is information about accreditation process which will allow you to contuct courses under our scope of registration.

PARASOL provides the accreditation and support you will need to deliver training courses based on our guidelines.  As well, we have established training policies and procedures recognized as the most comprehensive in the commercial training arena. This ensures that clients receive the same PARASOL standard of service and support regardless of where the course is conducted.

You will need to download and complete the documentation linked below including the Approved Providers Agreement and the forms at the back of the Trainer/Assessor Application and Information kit. Please ensure that all copies of qualifications that are submitted in support of your application are certified.

We also wanted to let you know that to comply with state and federal legislative requirements; we would need you to undergo a National Police Check. This must be no older than 3 months to be acceptable by PARASOL.  Further, I would be grateful if you could supply the names and contact details for two referees who we may need to speak with to establish your credentials.

It is also important that I reiterate that all PARASOL trainers must possess as a minimum:

  • Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training national code BSZ40198, or Certificate IV in Training & Assessment national code TAA40104 or equivalent
  • Have the relevant industry qualifications
  • Experience working within the chosen field
