Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

EMT Training by PARASOL

As the leaders in pre-hospital training in Australia, PARASOL stands out among all others. Established in the 1996, our programs train well over 60,000 people in first aid and emergency medical techniques each year.

All of our course instructors are trained and certified Emergency Medical Technicians or higher, who have many hours of real job experience. They bring with them not only the knowledge found in the textbooks, but the experience of real life situations.

Our EMT course:

Our EMT course is conducted over 10 days and teaches initial evaluation and treatment of patients with medical problems and/or trauma.

Using scenarios based training, students will learn to recognise and provide initial and ongoing advanced care for conditions like trauma, shock, heart problems, breathing problems, strokes, burns, diabetes, drowning and accidents.

Why PARASOL?

We have experience - both in the classroom and in the field. Our instructors have years of experience as Ambulance Paramedics in a variety of settings. They know what it takes to make a successful, competent EMT and they are professional instructors. They know how to make the material interesting and memorable.
Our course material goes above and beyond.

Our courses provide quality information and more in-depth explanations, so that you’ll know not only what you should do, but why.

We care about the quality of our teaching, and we care about the knowledge and skills of the EMTs we train.

Why do this course?

A common reason that a person would take an EMT course is so that they can become accredited and work on an industrial site. Not all people who complete the course want to work on ambulances.

Some people take the course because they might be a first responder (emergency response team member, police officer, fire fighter, industrial first aider) looking for more knowledge.

Other people may take the course because they will be part of an emergency response team at their current job or to volunteer for services like the state emergency services.

As the leaders in pre-hospital training in Australia, PARASOL stands out among all others. Established in the 1996, our programs train well over 60,000 people in first aid and emergency medical techniques each year.
